Former Pakistan President Musharraf passed away: He was undergoing treatment for a long time in a Dubai hospital, breathed his last at the age of 79.

Pakistan's dictator and former President Pervez Musharraf passed away on Sunday. He was 79 years old. Musharraf was ill for a long time. He was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dubai. Musharraf was the President of Pakistan from 20 June 2001 to 18 August 2008.

In May 2016, a Pakistani court charged him with treason. After this he left the country and went to Dubai, he was declared a fugitive.

Musharraf was hospitalized for several months. In June 2022, his family said on social media that he was suffering from a disease called amyloidosis. Because of this all his organs stopped working.

In amyloidosis, an abnormal protein called amyloid starts forming in the human body. It starts accumulating in the organs like heart, kidney, liver, nervous system, brain etc., due to which the tissues of these organs are not able to function properly.

Musharraf fought the war with India in 1965, hatched the Kargil conspiracy

At the age of 21, Musharraf joined the Pakistan Army as a junior officer after completing his college studies. He fought against India in 1965. The special thing is that Pakistan lost this war. Despite this, the Government of Pakistan awarded the medal to Musharraf.

Musharraf also played an important role in the 1971 war. Seeing this, the government promoted him many times. Pervez Musharraf became General in 1998. He hatched the Kargil conspiracy against India. Lost the war and also defamed Pakistan in the world. In his biography 'In the Line of Fire - A Memoir', General Musharraf wrote that he had vowed to capture Kargil, but could not do so because of Nawaz Sharif.

Musharraf wanted to meet former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, but the then Manmohan Singh government was evasive, but Musharraf was determined to meet Vajpayee. This meeting took place on 18 April 2005. Musharraf had his convoy stopped at 6 Krishna Menon Marg on his way to Palam airport to return to Pakistan. He met Atal Bihari Vajpayee and said, 'Sir, if you were the Prime Minister, today the relationship between the two countries would have been different.'

In 1998, the then Pak PM Nawaz Sharif trusted Pervez Musharraf and made him the chief of the Pakistan Army, but only a year later in 1999, General Musharraf overthrew Nawaz Sharif and became a dictator. Nawaz Sharif had to leave Pakistan along with his family as soon as he assumed power.
